"Maybe it's more of a friendship in the same vein of Locke and Pharris....just with the 'Locke' position a little younger," Shand shrugged. "And I'm sure you get used to that sort of personality when you grow up around it."

"hmmm, I feel like we've almost punished Aeren by having Pharris raise him..."

Shand shrugged. "He doesn't seem to mind...it didn't effect him too badly...now Rhain, on the other hand, you could've been a little nicer when dealing out the genetic traits, but hey, I understand that you've got to carry on the legacy somehow..."

"yup... And poor Rhain was the only one for the job... Unless we wish to torture another innocent child and let Pharris have another kid." I shook my head,"no, that's beyond cruel."

"Now that would just be funny," Shand shook his head. "I mean, its possible...interesting, even...hmmmm...this should be discussed..."

I eyed him, "You'd want another kid to have Pharris as their father just because it would be funny or interesting?"

"It would complicate things," Shand said with a grin. "I mean, it'd be like having a do-over of Rhain....and who could say no to that?"

(i actually do think its an interesting idea...if you couldnt tell x) ....wonder how he'd treat a daughter? ....all good things to ponder x) )

(haha I liked the idea when I thought of it so I fit it into the fanfiction x) It is a grand idea to ponder...)

I raised my hand, "I would for the sake of that poor child."

"Couldn't be but so poor if they liked it," Shand shrugged. "And anyway, it'd probably get killed off somewhere along the line, so not too much damage done..."

"What makes you think it would get killed off?"

"I know Micaela.... why would the kid live? All the blood lines are accounted for.... Rhain is necessary and Aeren is necessary... she thinks she has too many characters already...only the absolutely necessary people stay... I'm not even sure I'm staying yet.... everyone is in danger here, Love, you walk on thin ice in the Camp." Shand shook his head.

"Well," I smiled, "it's a good thing my people and I dont live at the Camp, now, isnt it?"

Shand snorted in his throat. "Trust me, nobody's safe.... you get a little paranoid when you're living in it, sure, but nooooobody's safe..."

"Umm, Shand, I'm not a character." I smiled, "I'm a 'real' person like Micaela...unless she plans to off me in real life, I think I'm safe."

'Well wouldn't you be upset if she offed someone very close to you?" Shand paused. "...I didn't intend to allude to myself, but I suppose that can be one of the shades of meaning.... anyway, if a character you didnt want to die, died anyway...I dont think you'd be safe.... just saying..."

"you make a valid point ... Though i can really only think of one character that, if he died, I would be completely crushed..:"

'Lunath would be too," Shand nodded. "I would be..Pops would be.... of course, what would the story be without an assassin? I think he can sleep at night, though, he's out of the gray area..."

"as terrible as it is, besides him, I'm not as worried about the others..." I trailed off in thought," well, I'd be crushed if Xyle died as well... He's kinda hard not to love, he's a giant teddybear."

"Crushed would not even begin to describe it," Shand shook his head. "I rather enjoy annoying him out of his mind...and poor Daric, can you imagine what that would do to him?...noooo, I don't think she'd do that either...I think Xyle is necessary, so there's not much to fear for him either.... Aleric though," Shand shrugged. "Eh, he might not even notice it if she decided to off him."

I tilted my head,"why's that?"

"He's not the sharpest pencil in the box," Shand mumbled. "Not to mention he can't conceive the idea of someone actually doing somthing to him...he's way too trusting.... his death would be very sad, though...he's one of the few people that is actually nice and has no alterior motives..."

"One of the nicest characters in the Camp and the Barracks...it would be sad..."
