ok, new fanfic idea.... *fiction, about the fiction, about the fiction ;)* if that makes any sense....

"Well that's better," Shand leaned back against the countertop. "Was starting to wonder who you were and what you did with Locke..."
"I was just gonna say ok," Lunath said with a smile. "And...can I have another cookie? I can't reach em..."
"I gave you like four, kid," Shand scratched his head. "You should'a stashed those..."
"I did!" Lunath said with a smile. "In my tummy."

Locke sighed, "Dont you think you should ask Chantelle first, kid? I'm sure she wouldnt want you eating all of this..."

"Why would she care? I don't have to check with her when you guys aren't here," Lunath pouted.

Locke stared down at him, "Lunath, we just want to make sure you're doing the right things and eating right falls into that..."

"Eating right," Shand rolled his eyes. "He's only a kid once... let him eat whatever he bloody wants, goodness... it won't matter what he eats til he's old anyway..."
"Yeah!" Lunath agreed.

Locke frowned at Shand then sighed, "Sure, why not...I try to give good fatherly advice just to have it shot down..."

"You do have to give up at a certain point," Dolan mumbled. "And let things called natural consequences take over."
"I mean, how often do we get cookies around here, little man?" Shand asked as he handed Lunath another hand-full of cookies. "And who knows the next time we'll get em? I fully intend to make myself sick with these little beauties.."

I walked in followed by Vrangr and his daughter who looked extremely uncomfortable with the whole thing, "Oh, come now, really? I bake them at my house almost every week...that's why my characters arent jumping at them like rebellious pigs."

'Well you're alive. That's comforting," Shand said, biting into another cookie. "Well, at the Camp here, sweets are pretty much rationed, so we take what we can get..."

I sighed, "Is there a reason I wouldnt be alive?"

"Her," Shand pointed at Vrangr's daughter with a disgusted look on his face.

I looked at her then back to Shand, "You think she would kill me?"

Shand shrugged. "Why not?"

I frowned,"I suppose I didn't really think about that when I went to get them..."

"Well next time we'll put our thinking caps on so we don't worry Shand, won't we?" Shand said, still glaring at Locke.

I looked down and the ground and mumbled "sorry..." then turned to the two 'new' comers,"alright, I'm not sure what you two should do but if you have the urge to carry out some sort of plan, for your sake, I'd advise you not to see it through for a while, k?"

"And we keep our villains outside here, so if you want to, you can go out in the backyard and play with those of your kind," Dolan said flatly.

Vrangr glared at Dolan,"we are not some diseased creatures."
The daughter looked around the room from behind her father as he talked letting her gaze stop on Shand.

"Nevertheless, you'll find similar morals and goals in the people living outside, therefore I'd encourage you to go there. As soon as possible." Dolan folded his arms.

Vrangr opened his mouth to say something then closed it and thought for a minute,"you'd encourage me to go out there?" he smiled,"I see, well, one shouldn't be rude and ignore such encouragement. Let's go." he turned to his daughter who turned to him and frowned confused but followed him out the door.

"Did they have to go so soon? I wanted to harass them a little bit," Shand whined.

"Vrangr was really, uh... Well, excited about coming over...he smiled all the way here..." I shuddered,"have you seen him smile? It's creepy beyond words...

"Some smiles are creepier," Shand muttered as he walked past Dolan, who simply slugged him on the back of the head as he passed.
"Is it creepy that I don't perpetually smile like some people? That I smile when I'm happy and no other time? Does my sincerity in that aspect bother you?" Dolan folded his arms and rolled his eyes.

Pharris tilted his head and looked at Dolan, "You smile? Since when?"

"When he's happy," Shand put in. "I know, I'm pretty sure I only see that smile when I'm in some kind of pain..."
