ok, new fanfic idea.... *fiction, about the fiction, about the fiction ;)* if that makes any sense....

Pharris frowned, "I see...are you happy any other time?"

"When I'm about to be in pain! Or he thinks I might be about to be in pain!" Shand yelped before Dolan could speak. "Or when he knows I'm about to be in pain but I don't!"

Pharris shook his head, "That's pretty sad, really..."

"May I speak for myself?' Dolan glared at Shand. "I do not smile whenever you're in pain....I smile when natural consequences occur...smiling is my silent way of saying 'I told you so'... and it's a wonder I don't smile more than I do, with the wonderful way you take my advise and all."

Locke smiled at the better explanation, "I dont know of a parent who wouldnt."

Dolan just looked over at Shand with an aforementioned 'i told you so' smile.
"See? There it is! Throw it in my face..."
"Glady, don't I every time?"

Pharris nodded and examined the smile, "Yes, I do see it now..."

"I'd rather not see it," Vered mumbled. "It means they're all about to get into a mocking mood and no one is safe from that..."

Pharris looked and Vered then to Dolan,"I see... If anyone needs me I'll be somewhere other than here."
I sighed and walked over to Vered,"two questions: what did I miss and where is Micaela?"

"You missed a tantrum of about 10 on the Richter scale, and some cookies, and I have no clue where she might be. Let's just hope she hasn't been taken hostage by the villains." Vered grinned. "A joke..that was a joke..."

I frowned,"I think I should ask someone else next time..."
Xyle came in the room and looked around frantically,"has anyone seen Daric? he went off with Torrin and now I can't find him.."

"Speaking of being taken hostage..." Shand mumbled under his breath. "I mean, Errol and Torrin are almost like villains anyway..."
"That's not true!" Alliy folded her arms and furrowed her brows.
"Fine!" Shand threw his hands up. "But when Daric's body ends up strewn across the yard, don't tell me I didn't try to tell you so."

I sighed, "It's kinda true, I suppose...but they wouldnt do that..."
Xyle looked at me with wide eyes, "Are you certain, like, absolutely certain they wouldnt kill him?"
"Why would they?" I asked...I couldnt see Errol and Torrin having anything against Daric.
